KNITTED ARMOUR

Knitwear in Singapore, seriously? Who would have thought that wearing knitwear is possible in such a horrendously humid island like Singapore?

This metallic knit top from koonhor's Greta Garbo-inspired AW 2011 collection certainly proves us wrong. It is possible! Made of 26% metallic and 74% spun rayon, a mix of natural and synthetic fiber, the top looks exactly like the armour used during war time. What I like about the fabric is its lightness despite its hard and heavy look. Plus, rayon gives a unique texture and the best thing? It never gets crumpled!

Playing with the overall metallic look, I decided to match it with my current favourite accessories: silver bangle with Swaorvski crystal from agnès b and ring from agnès b homme. And finally, my military platform clog-boots to tough it all up.

Here's the roundup: Metallic top, koonhor; Yellow printed top (worn inside), Zouk's Flea & Easy; Skirt, American Apparel; Bangle and ring, agnes b; Shoes, Shoegasm.
